Days blurred, her tears dried and she tried to find something to do with herself. As much as she sometimes wished to, she could not spend the rest of her days wallowing. It was easy to fall into that as she sat in the room she had rented and rocked her daughter to sleep, but she couldn't. She was stronger than that and she had taken care of Nadya and herself before when Kolya was on his missions. She could do it again, even though it was a completely new place that she didn't know, and couldn't have known. All she remembered was moving towards the boat with Kolya and then glancing back just long enough to get a few paces behind him and after blinking her eyes opened up onto a whole new world and she was on her knees, her daughter pulled tight to her body.

Avalon, she had learned quickly. It took who it wanted, when it wanted and showed no remorse. So she was left to wander through and wonder about her husband, wherever he might be, never losing hope that he was here too, somewhere. Exploring was mostly lost on her, wanting to do what was best for her daughter, who was currently dozing fitfully in the little carriage she had brought down to Vorick with her. Sighing, the woman knelt beside and laid a gentle kiss at her daughter's head, humming quietly under her breath and smiling a sad smile when her daughter snuggled closer into her clothes, face screwing up at her mother's show of affection. "Rest, dorogoy," (dear) she hushed gently before rising back to her feet, the fabric of her skirts rustling about her feet as she did.

She stopped not long after, leaning against the railing and overlooking the Vorick Town's harbor, the wind tussling through her hair and blowing it back behind her, the soft spray of the water hitting her face as she allowed her head to fall forward somewhat. What was she to do? English was not her first language and while she knew enough to get by (and was still actively practicing) it was not an easy language to learn and it was all too easy to resort to Russian. Though... She realized, she had not yet had any problem with the language barrier here, which was a blessing.

Glancing to the right, Anna surveyed the people meandering their way through the streets of Vorick and she was mere seconds from turning back to the water when her eyes alighted to something familiar and she stepped away from the railing, her lips parting and tears gathering. Could it be? She almost didn't want to hope, her hand reaching up to cover her mouth and the first tears slid down her slightly wind swept and reddened cheeks. "Oh... Kolya..."

This is going to be Anna's dev thread. I don't have anything to put in it right now, so I'm just starting it off with this. I'll probably bomb it with graphics and headcanons and songs that remind me of Anna.

meet anna orelov. She is the wife of Nikolai Orelov and she is completely devoted to him.
She is at his side whenever he needs her and is always there to lend an ear or her shoulder,
though the latter probably isn't used as much. That being said,
she is a kind and family oriented woman who enjoys spending time with others and just talking with them. She's of simple tastes and she just wants people to get along,
I think. [click here for bio]

friends. Friends come easy for Anna. She's friendly and always willing to lend a hand to help someone. That being said, she didn't necessarily have many friends mainly because she and Kolya did live out of the way because of the Brotherhood and the Order. So, she definitely needs some people she can talk to.

enemies. Anyone that hurts her family can be listed under this, whether it be an Assassin or Templar, if anyone hurts her Kolya or her kids, you're going on her shit list. That being said, however, she does try to see the good in people and I think it would be mighty hard to end up on this list unless you did something really terrible. jack is probably here.

lovers. Nope. She's married.

In the moments before the sun breaks through the clouds, she weeps for her darling Mikhail, her first child, her son. Crystal tears slide down her porcelain face, shattering after dripping from her chip to fall into the folds of her night gown. She can remember those days in every little detail, from the way her husband smiled at her moments before their world broke to the way her boy had been smiling too, before it happened. The sudden fear in his little face moments before the ice gave way haunts her dreams, as did the little cracks spreading out across the lake, crackling and snapping; the only sound louder than her screams. Her thoughts were pain, tossing around and around as her shaking knees threatened to toss her to the ground, praying God would not take from her, her husband or her son; the two most important men in her life, clutching tight to the thick fur coat Kolya had been wearing.

He lives, but not long enough, falling ill to fever only days after he was pulled from the freezing waters. The hospital is the only place they can go, but the doctor can offer them little solace as their poor boy’s condition only worsens. She remembers sitting on the edge of the bed with him, singing softly in Russian to him in hopes of calming him, of bringing him back to them. Some nights she tells him stories with tears sliding down her cheeks, but none of her efforts bring him round. That night, Nikolai kisses their boy good night and she stays awake at the bedside and she is awake when he stops breathing. She watches his chest stutter and then one final breath slides free from his lips.

Anna Orelov breaks, screams, frantic hands cupping her baby’s face. ”Vernis' ko mne! Moy rebenok. YA lyublyu tebya. Vernis'...Pozhaluysta…!” (Come back to me! My baby… Come back to me… Please-!) Her vision blurs, the tears out of control, the pleading is getting her nowhere and yet she can’t stop, can’t stop begging for his chest to rise again. ”Get the doctor, Nikolai!” she cries to her husband, her voice breaking, breaking, breaking. ”Please-” His arms circle around her, his face numb, hollow, devoid. ”Get the doctor-! Please, Kolya! He doesn’t and she knows why and she tries to fight against the tightness of his arms, trying, trying, trying. Then she collapses into the warmth of his arms, sobbing into his chest. Her baby… Her Mikhail… The day he was born had been the happiest she could remember; from the way Kolya smiled and the way Mikhail reached chubby fingers towards his father, wonderment in his large, new eyes. She watched him grow, she watched the world shape him and she watched the way his imagination grew.

She watched him die and continues to, the nights that follow in her nightmares. The nights are hard and she spends most of them crying. One night she speaks into Nikolai’s chest: ”How can he be gone?” He doesn’t have an answer for her, and she holds onto him tighter, needing to hold onto something, someone. Life is hard those days, something is missing. No. Not something. Their son is missing. There is nothing that can fill that void in the brunette’s heart, and so she goes through motions, her tears and her husband the only constant in those days. Until she questions after his own composure and the anger she gets in response is not what she expected. She flinches back from him, surprise clouding her dark eyes. At first she tries to reason with him, but it escalates and they are shouting and she is crying and inside she is begging: This cannot be happening. I am dreaming. Oh, Kolya, please let me wake up.

It is not a dream. He storms from their house, out into the air and she sinks into a chair and cries into her hands, his broken cup littering the ground and his broken shout echoing: Damn it woman, I know it’s my fault!

“Oh, Kolya,” she whispered to the empty space around her, hands clutching weakly to the fabric of her clothes, her eyes raising to follow the line of him out in the back, near to the water, on his knees. She rises to her feet and steps out, rubbing away her tears and swallowing down the lump in her throat before going to him where he sits in his broken vigil. Lowering herself to the ground behind him, she raises a hand to touch him, her voice speaking only truth: ”Never once did I blame you, Nikolai.” And his shoulders tremble and it breaks her down to her core all over again. She drapes an arm around his shoulders and leans her head against him, murmuring to him. His response is immediate and they hold each other beside the water that took their son from them. Hearing him break against her is worse than she ever imagined and all she can do is hold him.

Mikhail’s death changes her husband and life continues to beat him down, but she remains strong for him. She must, even as ice grows around him. At night, she brushes her hand through his hair and kisses his tired eyelids and murmurs her love to him. He is all she has and she will not lose him and is that thought that brings her to the one thing she never thought she would ask him. ”Ostavat'sya, Kolya. Pozhaluysta ostan'sya.” (Stay, Kolya. Please, stay.) But there is one last mission he must partake in. After this, enough is enough. He will stay and they will finish that chapter of their life. And before he leaves, she gifts him with the news: ”I’m pregnant.” She hopes it will ease the ice in his eyes and his smile warms her own beating heart.

Nadya Orelov is their beautiful daughter. She has her father’s eyes and the telltale signs of her mother’s hair and Anna holds on tighter than she should, too afraid to lose.

personality Anna is caring to a fault and is always going to try and see the good in people. She does not believe everyone is inherently evil, and does her hardest to find that “light” in people. Other than that, she is extremely helpful and is more than willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it.

children Her calming presence may attribute to her natural ability with children. She enjoys being around them and caring for them, even if they’re not her own.

cooking She is a really good cook and is more than willing to cook for anyone else. She enjoys it and it’s a calming activity for her.

weaknesses
mortal Anna does not have any sort of superhuman strength of powers. She is both completely mortal and an older woman, meaning she is susceptible to any human diseases and can be killed.

nikolai Kolya is her husband and the love of her life. She would do anything for him.

fighter She is not a fighter. She has never had any fighting lessons whether it be hand to hand combat or weaponry. That being said, she’s not completely defenseless. If forced to, she will defend herself with whatever she has.

language English is not her first language. She speaks it well, but she does run into hang ups every now and then. Her and Kolya are working on it though.
